The SkyWatcher Star Discovery 150/750 Newtonian tube is a great choice for those looking for a mirror telescope at an affordable price that is good for almost any observation.
The precision-machined parabola with a diameter of 150 mm reveals many details of the beauty of the sky. Thanks to its large field of view, more extensive deep-sky objects (star clusters, nebulae) can be comfortably observed. Using high magnification, you can also study the surface of the Moon in detail, but also see the surface details of the planets.
The simplified, lightweight design of the tube can be easily transported on a smaller tripod for quick deployment. Its cherry red paint finish is aesthetically pleasing, with a sophisticated 1.25" flare. Not recommended for deep-end photography, as you won't get focus at infinity with T2 mount cameras.
With the 1.25" 23mm and 10mm eyepieces included in the standard package of the SkyWatcher Star Discovery 150 newton tube, magnification of 33x and 75x is available. The 6x24 fiber-optic finder scope makes it easy to locate objects and the scope mount also has a sun finder function. For mounting on astronomical mechanisms, it is equipped with a short prism rail with a fixed attachment, so it is best recommended for use with azimuthal mechanisms with "side" attachment (e.g. AZ-4, AZ-5). If you want to use it with an equatorial mechanism, you will also need tube rings and a prism rail of sufficient length.
Purchase of a tube is recommended for use with an existing mechanism. If you do not have a mechanism for use with astronomical telescopes, please purchase the tube complete with mechanism.
