For larger Newtonian telescopes, our quality lined carrying bags provide effective protection against possible damage or scratches during transport. If you frequently transport your telescope between home and the observing site, a special carrying case is highly recommended. It also keeps dirt and dust away from sensitive optics.
A not insignificant advantage is that they can be hung over the shoulder, making them very useful for amateur astronomers with a backpack.
