With the Opticron MM4 77 GA VHD ED spectrophotometers, the factory's new generation of instruments has put the emphasis on smaller size, brighter, brighter and sharper imaging while maintaining the traditionally reliable, sophisticated design. Compared to the smaller MM4 60 GA ED model, it has around 65% more light gathering power, providing brighter images at higher magnifications and in lower light conditions. Opticron MM4 77 VHD GA ED straight and 45° versions are ideal for sport shooters, archers for target practice or simply for viewing the surrounding panorama and birdlife from the balcony.
The scope, like most higher-end brands, does not have an included zoom eyepiece so that the user can take possession with the type of eyepiece that best suits their needs. The manufacturer recommends the Opticron HR, SDL eyepieces, so that either zoom, or fix magnification can be achieved. Where the magnification range of binoculars ends, the time for Opticron spectral arcs comes. Mounted on a photo stand, they allow long and comfortable observation over the full magnification range.
Thanks to its high-quality, multi-layered FMC coatings, the telescope's image is more contrasty, brighter and has higher colour fidelity than cheaper instruments. Its apochromatic lens replacement system provides high quality imaging free of chromatic aberration. Unlike spectra using cheaper conventional ED glass materials, the Opticron MM4 77 GA VHD ED spectracope features optics made of Japanese FCD 100 glass material, which has a refractive index very similar to fluorite crystal. Thanks to the premium glass material, the binoculars deliver dazzling color saturation, contrast and resolution, with image quality that is even higher than conventional ED binoculars.
The Opticron MM4 77 GA VHD ED scope iswaterproof, so there's no need to worry about condensation seeping inside the tube. Its 45-degree-viewing version is recommended for both horizontal and upward viewing, and its straight-viewing version is a favorite of sport shooters and hunters, for example. Thanks to its short (5.5 m) closest point, it also allows us to observe at shorter distances, which is useful for observing small, shy creatures and birdwatchers.
For added convenience, the tube can be rotated 360 degrees in its tripod ring and positioned every 45 degrees around its longitudinal axis. Of particular note is the two-speed (9:1) microfocus focusing eyepiece for very precise focusing. A photo adapter is available as an option, making it possible to shoot with SLR cameras. The reliable quality of the product is guaranteed by Japanese manufacture.
