The Cayer FP2450H6 photo tripod is both portable and sturdy. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is ideal for carrying and moving spotting scopes, video cameras, medium-large binoculars, night vision and thermal imaging cameras up to a weight limit of 6 kg (a full-length 80 mm diameter spotting scope weighs around 1.5 kg).
The video head can deflect up to 50 upwards and up to 90° downwards, to allow viewing of really high sights and points of interest down below. Thanks to the fluid damping, you can also safely perform nature observation at high magnification or shake-free video recording.
The position of the hand-operated moving arm on the head can be reversed for easy left-handed use, and the tilt angle can even be adjusted for convenience. Rotating the head 360°, it can describe a full panorama without obstruction. When shooting stills or video, a particular advantage is the nut (1/4") photo tripod thread on the side of the head, which can be used to attach various devices, video lights, flashes, etc. to the tripod. The replaceable holder on the head is used to mount our main tools. Here you will find the standard 3/8" screw for heavier instruments, or the now more common 1/4" tripodless screw. The replacement tray is practical, quick to take off and put on, and is also equipped with an anti-fall mechanism.
One of the sturdy tripod legs has been rubber coated (only someone who has carried cold metal in sub-0°C temperatures can really appreciate this) and this leg can be unrolled for future use as a one-legged tripod (monopod). The four section legs can be tilted one by one in three positions at angles of 80° - 55° - 25°, so they provide stable support even in extreme terrain, for example on hillsides. Photographers/videographers will be really pleased to know that the FP250H6 tripod's centre column is reversible for use close to the ground. The height of the tripod, when in use, can be adjusted from 28.5 cm up to a height of 191 cm, which covers plenty of what you might need.
Unfortunately, with many photo tripods, not enough attention is paid to portability, but fortunately with the Cayer FP2450H6 tripod, the manufacturer includes a heavy-duty, sturdy, padded carrying case. Weighing just 2.7kg, the tripod can be carried around for a long time without discomfort.
