The Manfrotto MK290-XTRA tripod with its two-way FLUID head is the ideal companion for spotting scopes with an objective diameter of up to 85 mm. Thanks to the fluid damping, the tripod head can be adjusted very smoothly, ensuring that the position of the spotting scope—and therefore the image—remains unchanged when movement stops. The all-metal tripod and head combination is sturdy, offers a wide range of adjustment options, and remains easy to carry. When folded, it is only 69.5 cm long. Its working height can be adjusted between 40.5 and 169.5 cm, or up to 146 cm with the centre column lowered. It has a load capacity of 5 kg and weighs just 2.56 kg.
One leg of the Manfrotto MK290-XTRA features a rubber protective grip, which is particularly appreciated on cold winter days, as gripping bare metal in freezing temperatures can be very unpleasant. The adjustable, 3-section legs feature aluminium locks with adjustable tension, and their angle can be set in 4 positions (25°-46°-66°-88°). The tripod comes with a 200-PL quick-release plate, allowing fast and secure attachment of your spotting scope, camera or camcorder. A carrying bag is also included.
