The Star Adventurer Gti mount is a compact, portable goto mount for smaller telescopes. It is an excellent choice for mobile astrophotographers as well.
Since the Star Adventurer Gti mount is motorized on both axes and can be controlled via WiFi, it meets the needs of owners of small telescopes (up to 5kg load capacity) for an equatorial GoTo mount. All you need is a smartphone, but it can also be operated with an optional SynScan hand controller. Moreover, thanks to its ST-4 autoguider port, guided astrophotography becomes easily accessible with a mount that is not burdensome to carry due to its compact size and low weight, even on longer international trips. During astrophotography, precise polar alignment is assisted by the illuminated reticle polar scope included with the product.
The mount head is easy to operate and can be readily used for astronomical photography and time-lapse video creation, as it features an exposure control output programmable from an application. The power supply for the Star Adventurer Gti mount can be optionally provided by an external 12 V power source or the built-in battery holder that accommodates 8 AA batteries.
The Star Adventurer Gti mount is available as a separate head and can be mounted on any sufficiently strong tripod with a 3/8 inch connection, including the manufacturer's Star Adventurer tripod. It can also be purchased complete with a steel-legged NEQ-2 mount. In both cases, the package includes a 20 mm diameter counterweight shaft and two counterweights totaling 2.3 kg. The counterweight shaft has two attachment points on the mount head, allowing the counterweight to avoid contact with the legs even when set at a lower angle.
The EQ-Mod cable (RJ45) for SkyWatcher equatorial mounts can be connected to the Star Adventurer Gti mount.
