SkyWatcher Evostar 150/1200 refractor OTA

The high-performance optics of the SkyWatcher Evostar 150/1200 refractor provide excellent image sharpness and contrast for studying the fine surface details of planets. The 15 cm lens diameter is considered by many to be the largest that can be truly exploited under the turbulent skies of the Carpathian Basin.

The Moon is sure to captivate the observer with its many craters and tiny gullies. Jupiter's Great Red Spot and its swirling bands of clouds, or Saturn's ring system, can be seen with Cassini. The large, glare-free optics will not let you down when observing deep sky objects: globular clusters are broken down into stars, and many galaxies can be examined in detail.

The SkyWatcher Evostar 150/1200 refractor is equipped with a 2" focuser, the basic package includes a 2" zenith mirror. The basic package includes 25 and 10 mm eyepieces, with which magnifications of 48x and 120x are available. Of course, it is possible to use a 2" eyepiece, which is recommended primarily for deep sky observation. The standard 9x50 finder scope with spring-loaded mount makes it much easier to find faint objects.

Because of its considerable size, the telescope is not an easy-to-carry instrument, almost an observatory instrument. The steel-leg NEQ-5 mount is considered a minimum solution due to the length of the tube, it is better to go for HEQ-5 or EQ-6 mount.
