The SkyWatcher AZ-GTi 127/1500 MC telescope is an ideal choice for those who value performance, portability, and user-friendly operation. The excellent optics deliver sharp, high-contrast images, allowing you to observe Jupiter’s Great Red Spot or the famous Cassini Division in Saturn’s rings. The AZ-GTi mount features GoTo control and can be easily operated from a mobile phone or tablet via a Wi-Fi connection using the free SynScan app. Its user-friendly operation is particularly beneficial for beginner amateur astronomers. Simply select the object you wish to observe from the catalogue, and the telescope will automatically locate it in the sky. Once aligned, the mount automatically tracks the celestial object for more convenient observing. The telescope can also be used with the SkySafari planetarium software, which includes, among other features, an updatable asteroid and comet database.
The standard package of the SkyWatcher AZ-GTi 127/1500 MC includes a 25 mm and a 10 mm eyepiece, providing magnifications of 60x and 150x. The most cost-effective way to achieve additional magnifications is to use a 2x Barlow lens. A StarPointer finder makes locating celestial objects easier, while a 1.25" mirror diagonal ensures comfortable viewing.
Thanks to the built-in encoders, the mount can be moved freely by hand after alignment without losing its positional information. This is an excellent solution for those who occasionally prefer to locate objects themselves but at other times would like to use computer assistance.
The AZ-GTi mount can also be powered by AA batteries, although this is not recommended. It is recommended to use it with a 12 V battery or a suitable AC adapter connected to a 230 V mains supply; these accessories are available separately.
