The SkyWatcher AZ-Go2 127/1500 MC is recommended for those who value performance, mobility and user-friendliness in a telescope, but are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Discovery mechanical model. The short tube of just 35 cm and the lightweight mechanics make the instrument easy to carry. Its excellent optics give a surprisingly sharp, contrasty image, allowing you to see Jupiter's Great Red Spot or the famous Cassini's Rift in Saturn's ring. It also reveals many galaxies, but it can also be used to resolve many star clusters.
The GoTo controlled mechanics use the popular WiFi connection, which allows you to select any of the 42,900 objects programmed into the camera, either on your mobile phone or with an optionally expandable handheld controller.
The basic package includes 25 and 10 mm eyepieces with magnification of 60x and 150x, respectively. A luminous precision starpointer makes it easy to align the celestial objects, and a zenith mirror makes observing them convenient. As the telescope is upright (but with left-right inverted images), it is also suitable for nature observation.
The "half-arm" mechanism provides sufficient stability, and it is also equipped with a motorised control, making it capable of tracking the sky. The eyepiece tray can be fitted with a wide range of accessories, including a sighting telescope. The extendable steel foot can be adjusted to your height.
The SkyWatcher AZ-Go2 127/1500 MC binoculars can be powered by batteries (although this is not recommended), and also have an external power supply: you can run them from a 12V battery or 220V mains with an optional mains adapter.
