The SkyWatcher 102/1300 Maksutov-Cassegrain optical tube is the most portable 10 cm telescope we offer. It gathers 28% more light than its smaller 90 mm “sibling”, while sacrificing virtually nothing in terms of portability. Thanks to its long focal length, it can achieve the same magnifications as similarly sized refractors without the disadvantages of a long optical tube. The telescope can also be used as a powerful telephoto lens thanks to the T2 thread at the rear. The corrector lens features a fully multi-coated finish, allowing maximum light transmission.
The SkyWatcher 102/1300 MC telescope comes with 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces, providing magnifications of 52x and 130x. A StarPointer finder makes locating celestial objects easier, while a mirror diagonal ensures comfortable viewing. As the telescope produces an upright image, although laterally reversed, it is also well suited for terrestrial observation.
The Vixen-standard dovetail bar on the underside of the optical tube is compatible with most astronomical telescope mounts and features a 1/4" thread for attachment to photographic tripods.
The telescope’s primary mirror is collimatable.
