Celestron NexStar SLT 6 SC telescope is especially recommended for those who are not familiar with the night sky but want to explore the mysterious world of deep-sky objects as soon as possible, thanks to the telescope's computer-controlled (GoTo) system. From a dark place, it can reveal many distant galaxies and star clusters, but it can also observe the craters of the Moon, the ring of Saturn or even the cloud bands of Jupiter. Not only for astronomical observations, but also for daytime nature observation.

The telescope is extremely portable thanks to its Schmidt-Cassegrain optics: its short tube is 150 mm in diameter and has a focal length of 1500 mm. The telescope is supplied with two eyepieces: a 25 mm eyepiece giving 60x magnification and a 9 mm eyepiece giving 165x magnification.

Operating the NexStar+ handheld is a breeze, even for first-time binocular buyers. Thanks to the SkyAlign solution developed by Celestron, you don't even need to know the stars to get the binoculars working. With just a few button presses, the telescope can find and track any one of the approximately 40,000 objects in the handheld's database. But if that's not enough, you can also control it from a computer.

The NexStar mechanics are powered by 2x4pcs AA batteries, but can also be operated from a mains power supply (DC 12V). The steel base provides a stable support.
