The SkyWatcher HEQ-5-R Pro Goto mount features a belt drive that reduces backlash between gears, providing smoother and quieter operation. The head's clutch part is equipped with built-in extra connectors, ports, a USB port, and a power connector, facilitating the connection and use of various devices without unnecessary cabling.
During polar alignment, the possibility of more precise and accurate altitude adjustment ensures more precise setup, while the built-in exposure controller allows for easy handling of DSLR and MILC cameras. The PPEC periodic error correction with a PEC encoder helps minimize mechanical errors, keeping long exposure shots sharp.
