Motorised controls increase the convenience of your observations by enabling your telescope to automatically "follow" the object you have set, after accurate polarisation. For photography, a mount with two motorised controls is simply indispensable.
In addition to tracking stars (acting as a clockwork), stepping motors are also capable of corrective interventions on the corresponding axis. Single motor control is, by definition, only on the RA axis with 2x and 4x speed. Dual motor control is capable of 2x, 4x, and 8x speeds on both the RA and DEC axes. An important feature of the product is the possibility to switch between manual and motorised fine adjustment thanks to its clutch solution.
The control with ST-4 connector makes photography easier and has several additional features compared to the basic manual control: the possibility to track the sky beyond the star speed, at solar or lunar speed, 0.5x correction speed, but most importantly the ST-4 standard autoguider input, which allows the use of external guiding solutions.
The motorized controls can be operated from 4 goliath batteries, for which a separate small battery compartment is included in the box. Of course, an external 6V power source can also be used.
Attention! Please note that the single motor version cannot be upgraded with an additional motor, nor can the dual motor version be upgraded with a GoTo control.

Disadvantage: Diery pre osky montáže majú veľmi veľkú vôľu čo môže viesť k nepresnosti pohybu
Po dlhšom čase a viac skúseností s pohonom musím povedať, že pohon je veľmi dobrý. Používam pointáciu cez ST4 port a rýchlosť 0,5 je perfektná na korekcie. Čo som písal o vôľach na oskách montáže mám odskúšané, že trochu ovplyvňujú chybu pohybu. Nie je to výrazné a pri vizuálnom pozorovaní je to zanedbateľné. Pointácia si s tým dokáže poradiť aj pri fotení. Len toľko ako doplnenie. Odporúčam produkt.

Ešte som neskúšal presnosť pohybov priamo pri pozorovaní. Chystám sa na to pri prvom dobrom počasí. Pri osádzaní motora som musel trochu zbrúsiť s dielu na montáži, lebo sa nedal priblížiť motor ktorý opieral o diel šneku, tak aby ozubenie nemalo príliš veľkú vôľu. Ledva sa zuby dotýkali. Možno zlý odliatok na montáži. A pravdepodobne budem musieť vypúzdriť diery pre osky montáže nakoľko majú dosť výraznú vôlu a mohlo by to robiť nesúososť ozubenia a tým aj chybu v pohybe.
