The Photo tripod head adapter for Star Adventurer (with 3/8" thread) is compatible with most of SkyWatcher's travel mounts. It can be used to mount larger photo ball heads (or other 3/8" photo heads) using the 3/8" screw.

In cameras in common use today, we find mainly the smaller 1/4" tripod gears. However, if you want to use a 1/4" thread through this, you will need a thread converter.
