The ToupCam EP 5.1-megapixel microscope camera is a compact colour camera compatible with most standard microscopes: simply insert it in place of the eyepiece. With a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels, it can capture exceptionally fine details.
Replacing previous models, the ToupCam EP 5.1-megapixel microscope camera features a new SONY sensor with more efficient data compression and a faster 26 fps (frames per second) rate, resulting in smoother video and live-view footage.
The camera's ToupView software is highly sophisticated and offers numerous functions, including measurement functions which, after calibration, can be used to determine the dimensions of objects under the microscope.
As the microscope camera fits into a 23.2 mm eyepiece tube, please check whether your microscope has a tube of this size. A microscope with a photo port is not necessarily required, although 30.5 mm or 30 mm adapters may be needed for proper fitting.
