The Svbony SV165 40 mm tubular ring guide tube is ideal for guiding main tubes shorter than 700 mm.
With its compact size (179x114x59) and low weight (449.8 g), it does not put unnecessary strain on the scope's mechanics and does not have a detrimental effect on the balance of the assembly. Its excellent 40 mm (f/4) objective lens with multiple anti-reflection coatings (FMC) allows the use of a dimmer guide star than 32 mm guide binoculars. Its 6-screw tube ring allows you to choose the right sky for guiding within a wide range. The plastic insert of the screws protects the telescope tube from scratches and keeps the set bearing stable.
The base of the tube ring fits into the popular SpringLoad system finder mount, but can also be attached with a 1/4" photo stand thread. The tube is a four-part modular design, with each part connected by a T2 thread (M42 x 0.75 mm). Thanks to this solution, it can also be used as a finder telescope with a music mirror and a suitable eyepiece.
In its housing (1.25"), a copper clamping ring protects the guide camera or eyepiece tube from scratches, but of course cameras with T2 thread can also be connected to the Svbony SV165 guide scope.
The guide scope's 15 mm long adjustable helical focus adjuster has a clearly visible scale for easy adjustment.
