The Starpointer is a single-magnification "finder scope", with a red dot showing where the telescope is pointing when you look through it. With two small screws, it can be easily paralleled to the telescope without any tools, and a potentiometer can be used to change the brightness of the dot.
The StarPointer can be attached to the telescope using a slipper. This makes it easy to remove, does not make it difficult to transport (as it does not get stuck in anything) and can be replaced with a simple movement with a telescope with a suitable support.
The device is powered by a CR 2032 button battery.
