Do you have a blurred vision when you look into the zoom eyepiece of your spotting scope!? Forget the feeling, use our wide-angle eyepieces that will make you feel like you're in the middle of nature!
Because of their design, zoom eyepieces have a particularly narrow field of view at low magnifications, which can only be eliminated with fixed focus eyepieces. Our wide-angle eyepieces have a field of view of 70°, giving them a field of view up to 50% larger than the basic eyepiece.
A not insignificant feature of these eyepieces is that they provide a brighter image than the basic zoom eyepiece (so they are easier to see, especially at twilight) and cause less vignetting when digiscoping.
In particular, we recommend the 20 mm and 15 mm versions, which are compatible with all Scopium Birder (not II!), Celestron Ultima and SkyWatcher Acuter 65, 80 mm and 100 mm spotting scopes.
The table below shows the magnification of each eyepiece in the spotting scope.
65 mm spotting scope | 80 mm spotting scope | 100 mm spotting scope | |
20 mm | 19x | 24x | 27x |
15 mm | 26x | 32x | 36x |
10 mm | 39x | 48x | 54x |
