Stability and Precision
With the NEQ-5 mount, the manufacturer has once again raised the bar. The 4.5 cm steel feet and the central brace provide a comfortable load-bearing capacity for up to 20 cm Newtonian telescopes. The shafts are ball-bearing mounted and have particularly precise fine adjustment. The basic package comes with 2 5 kg counterweights, but in packages with telescopes, we add less or more counterweights to balance the telescope.
Advancement is basic here
No need to despair if you want to improve the "knowledge" of the mount in the future. For even more accurate polar alignment, we find a preparation for a polar scope, which you can screw in place with a simple movement. If you want to increase the comfort of your observations, we recommend the single or twin motor control, which allows you to follow the sky during the observation. If you have serious astrophotography plans, you can add a GoTo control to the mount.
