The SkyWatcher 60/900 lens telescopes are highly recommended for beginner skywatchers. The tiny craters of the Moon, the magnificent ring of Saturn, or even the magnificent cloud bands of Jupiter are certain to impress the novice observer. But the telescope can do more! With a little practice, you can catch a number of binary stars, dazzling star clusters and mysterious galaxies.
In the box you'll find everything you need to get started! First and foremost, two eyepieces for 45x and 90x magnification, plus a 2x Barlow lens for additional 90x and 180x magnifications. The standard package includes a 6x24 finder scope for easy alignment of celestial objects and a zenith scope for comfortable viewing. The solar viewing umbrella is designed for observing the Sun and allows you to observe sunspots (please see the attached photo for details on how to use the solar viewing umbrella.) However, its use is not recommended as it can burn out the eyepieces. Instead, we recommend using a socketed solar filter film.
The package includes the EQ-1 mount, which allows you to easily follow the sky, making it preferable to the so-called azimuth mounts provided with most store telescopes. The eyepiece tray can be fitted with a variety of accessories, including your observatory. And the extendable aluminium foot can be adjusted to your height.
