The Seestar STC S30/S30 Pro protective cover is primarily designed to protect against the elements. The factory carrying case supplied with Seestar smart telescopes is excellent for transport, but it would not be practical to store the telescope in it during short breaks in the field.
If clouds roll in or light rain starts during imaging, there is no need to immediately pack up the precisely levelled telescope; simply pull the STC protective cover over it.
The cover is white on the outside and reflects sunlight, preventing the smart telescope's electronics and battery from overheating in direct sunlight during breaks in solar or landscape photography.
It features a drawstring, so the wind will not blow it off the device when left on the tripod.
