When the idea of the Pulsar Telos XP50 thermal imaging camera was born, the designers were following a revolutionary concept. It will be the first thermal monocular that doesn't go out of date every few years, that doesn't go out of fashion and can be upgraded to meet changing user needs.
How does the Pulsar Telos XP50 thermal imaging camera achieve this? A Telos owner can upgrade to more powerful optics, a higher resolution sensor, an even better display, or even add a laser rangefinder. Even with improvements that are yet to be released, you can upgrade the Telos you buy today!
The Pulsar Telos XP50 thermal imaging camera is the company's elite device. Pulsar's most powerful thermal sensor currently available, NETD <18mK, can capture images with incredible detail, even in foggy, rainy weather when thermal differences are at their lowest. Telos will detect these too. Its optics feature an extremely bright "fast" F50/1.0 germanium objective, which perfectly serves the high 640x480 resolution, 17 µ pixel microbolometer. In practice, this means that human figures up to 1.8 meters tall can be detected at a distance of 1800 meters in total darkness.
The entire device is characterised by a highly thoughtful design. The non-slip frame has buttons that can be used comfortably by both right and left-handed users. Its IP7 protection ensures safe use in extreme weather conditions, rain or cold. Durable and easy to clean. Its rotatable ring focus adjuster and zoom ring allow one-handed use. The matching high-capacity replaceable battery pack (LPS7i Li-ion Battery Pack / 6400 mAh / DC 3.7 V) is designed to provide 8.5 hours of operation in ideal conditions. The battery pack features a handy USB-C connector, so no separate charger is needed to charge itand the battery is also quickly replaceable anyway, not to mention support for wireless charging.
The display is AMOLED with 1024x768 resolution, featuring a very contrasty and detailed display and a steady, stable operation even in cold conditions. Not only can the hardware be adapted to your needs, but the menu systemcan also be changed.
You can also save the image you see as a photo (jpg) or as a moving picture (mp4) using the built-in 64Gb memory, and show it to friends later. As we've come to expect from Pulsar, this device is also WiFi enabled, and in addition to 2.4GHz, it also supports the high data rate 5GHz standard. Not only does it treat its owner to a live view of the device, but it also gives them the ability to control it remotely with their smartphone.
In addition to the thermal camera, the package includes:
- LPS-7i battery
- Carrying case
- USB-C charging cable
