The Opticron Natura BGA WP DC 8x42 monoculars are a true curiosity in the world of monoculars. For added protection, it is covered with a rubber coating for a secure, non-slip grip. To ensure that the scope is not only waterproof but also protected against internal condensation, the Opticron factory engineers use a nitrogen gas charge.

With mariners, one of the frequent users of waterproof monoculars, the instrument also comes with a built-in compass and distance/size estimating fiber cross for orientation. The visibility of the crosshairs and compass is aided by a "luminous window" at the top of the monocular.

Multiple anti-reflective (FMC) coatings protect the lens system against internal reflections. They also increase the light transmission of the lens system. The use of premium quality ED lenses in the monocular also contributes to the beautiful, colour-saturated, contrasty visual appearance. The light transmission of the prism system is maximised by the BAK4 material prism and the manufacturer's proprietary Oasis coating.

Fixed 1/4" photo tripod threads allow it to be mounted on a photo tripod or car window stand.
