The Opticron Explorer WA 10x42 ED-R offers a unique combination of quality, performance and ergonomics in its price category, making it the ideal companion for anyone looking for a ED lens binocular with minimal colour distortion at an outstanding value for travel, sports and hiking. Released in 2020, the ED-R version has improved coatings compared to the previous model for even more contrast and vivid colours.
The renewed eyepiece with a complex design guarantees a wide field of view, especially at low wind distortion. The excellent light recovery, sharp and contrasty imaging of the optical system is guaranteed by the multi-layer anti-reflective coating on all surfaces, in addition to the BAK4 material of the roof prisms. The prisms are of course also phase coated and coated with Opticron's unique Oasis-C+ for brilliantly vivid colours. The field of view at 1000 m is 113 m, which guarantees a very large field of view.
The Opticron Explorer WA 10x42 ED-R binoculars have a 15 mm pupil distance, which is perfectly suitable for spectacle wearers - the comfortable viewing distance can be adjusted with a screw-on eye cap. The binoculars are nitrogen-filled to prevent condensation on the internal parts.
