Hand tremor can impair the performance of binoculars to a varying degree. This is particularly noticeable with heavier, higher-magnification binoculars, which should therefore be supported whenever possible. For this purpose, we recommend L-adapters, which allow the binoculars to be mounted on a (photo) tripod with a standard 1/4" thread. The L-adapter is made entirely of aluminium, making it more stable than plastic versions; recommended for 60–70 mm binoculars.
With roof prism models, the wide L-adapter often does not fit between the two optical barrels; in such cases, Opticron's narrow adapter is an excellent solution.
