Our experience has shown that the condition of astronomical instruments, telescopes and mechanics deteriorates not because of use, but because of inadequate transport.
High-quality carrying cases for HEQ5 and EQ6 heads and feet, lined with 2 cm sponge, are an excellent protection against damage to both the instrument and other items (e.g. binoculars) carried with it (since they are not pressed or scratched by the metal parts of the mechanism). Made of strong, resistant material on the outside, the zippers of the moulds are strong and open practically.
Inside the mechanics' head case is an inner pocket that houses the tripod brace tray. And the pocket on the outside of the case (EQ6 case only) can hold books up to A4 size, atlases (e.g., the Skyroof), or map sheets, but other accessories can of course be stored inside. The cases can be carried in the hand or on the shoulder with the sturdy shoulder strap. The shoulder strap can be detached if required.
