The Nocpix Quest H50R LRF binocular thermal imaging device with rangefinder combines the comfort of traditional binoculars with the modern performance of thermal imaging viewers. In addition to its sophisticated thermal imaging capabilities, the device also features a built-in laser rangefinder.
The Nocpix Quest H50R LRF binocular thermal imaging device with rangefinder features a highly sensitive (> 15 mk) sensor. This allows it to detect human-sized heat sources, or heat sources of similar size, at distances of up to 2600 metres. Like other Nocpix thermal imaging devices, this model features a manual focus adjustment ring for precise focusing. The device uses an invisible laser for accurate distance measurement, with a range of up to 1000 metres.
The fixed-focus objective lens provides a base magnification of 4x, which can be digitally increased to 32x.
The 640 x 512 sensor consists of 12 µ pixels, delivering exceptionally detailed images. The captured image can be viewed on a frost-resistant, oval 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution AMOLED display, offering an image similar to that of binoculars. The interpupillary distance can be comfortably adjusted to suit the user, while dioptre adjustment is also available over a wide range (+-5).
The advanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm used in the device enhances the thermal image, providing greater contrast and more detail even in deteriorating weather conditions.
With a detection range of more than 2.5 km, the Nocpix Quest H50R LRF thermal imaging device enables the monitoring of vast areas, making it useful for game management and similar applications. It is also suitable for security purposes, such as observing distant objects, as well as supporting rescue and search operations.
Its extensive settings include various colour modes, hot spot highlighting for rapid detection, and a choice of cool or warm display tones. With PIP mode (picture-in-picture), you can view a smaller magnified image while retaining a full view of your surroundings. The thermal imaging viewer can also be controlled from a smartphone via WiFi, allowing you to view or save recorded footage. In addition to still images, it can record video with sound thanks to its built-in microphone. Images can be stored not only on your phone but also in the built-in 64Gb memory, from which they can be easily transferred to a computer.
The comfortable housing is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh conditions. The thermal imaging device is powered by one replaceable 18650 battery, with two included in the package. (These are widely available, popular batteries, making them easy to replace, unlike model-specific batteries.) If that is not enough, external power can also be supplied via the USB-C port. The Nocpix Quest binocular thermal imaging device offers approximately 6 hours of operation on its own battery.
