The Lacerta heated dewcap combines two functions in one device, as its matte black shading surface effectively reduces reflective light entering the tube, while its heating unit prevents condensation.
The heating of the device is (optionally) controllable, allowing the heating output to be varied to suit different temperature conditions. Without a control unit, the dewcap is heated continuously at the maximum temperature. The Lacerta heatable dewcap is powered via a standard RCA connector, with a clearly visible thermometer strip providing information on the external temperature of the cap. Heated dew caps require a voltage of 12V.
