The Hikmicro Habrok HQ35L thermal imaging and night vision binoculars combine a daytime digital binocular with colour imaging, night vision and thermal imaging, with photo, video and audio recording capabilities. It also functions as a laser rangefinder, providing accuracy of ±1 m up to 1,000 metres.
The Habrok HQ35 series features a high-quality 640 x 512 pixel resolution thermal sensor. While it offers slightly lower magnification than the Habrok HH35 series, it provides a wider field of view while maintaining professional image quality.
Combining practical functions in a binocular design, the Habrok HQ35L is especially popular with hunters, although the two technologies are also useful in many other applications. For example, the thermal imaging function is ideal for search and reconnaissance tasks, allowing large areas to be scanned quickly. For rescue and security applications, the night vision mode can be more advantageous due to its more natural image rendition.
The robust, ergonomic housing features IP67 protection against dust and water, making it truly designed for field use. It withstands extreme temperatures well and can be used between -30°C and +55°C. The Hikmicro Habrok (850 nm) HQ35L thermal imaging and night vision binoculars are powered by replaceable 18650 batteries; four batteries are included with the product upon purchase. The device can also accept an external power source via a USB-C connector.
The night vision function is supported by an IR illuminator mounted between the two optical channels of the binoculars, which is also where the laser rangefinder is located. On the HQ35L model, the built-in IR illuminator is interchangeable. It comes fitted with a 940 nm version as standard, while an 850 nm IR illuminator is also included in the package. The interpupillary distance can be conveniently adjusted between 60 and 74 mm. The image in both displays can be adapted to your eyesight with -5D to +3D dioptre adjustment.
In thermal imaging mode, magnification ranges from 3x to 24x, with a detection range of 3.5 to 1,800 metres. In night vision mode, magnification ranges from 2.9x to 23.2x, with an observation range from 3 to 400 metres. The advantage of the 940 nm model is its invisible illumination, while the 850 nm version provides slightly longer illumination range.
The manufacturer uses a Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution OLED display with a special curved design to further enhance the natural viewing experience. Both photos and videos can be recorded—the latter with audio—and saved to the built-in 64 GB storage. Files can also be transferred to your smartphone or tablet via the HIKMICRO Sight app. The app also enables remote control of the device.
The Hungarian-language menu also includes numerous useful features:
- PIP – picture-in-picture mode
- Digital compass
- GPS
- Four colour modes for thermal imaging
- Three night vision modes (day, night, auto)
- Battery-saving standby mode
- Hot spot highlighting
- And more
