The DWARF Mini 30/150 smart telescope is one of the most compact smart telescopes on the market. Weighing just 840 grams, it is nevertheless an excellent entry point into astrophotography: it can be set up in minutes with just a few taps via a smartphone or tablet screen, allowing you to start imaging the night sky right away.
The smart telescope’s automated features greatly simplify the first steps in astrophotography: it can almost “automatically” locate the selected object, focus, and begin collecting light. It also offers manual adjustment options for advanced users, so you will not outgrow its capabilities after just a few nights.
Two cameras in a single telescope
The telescope features a main optical system with a 30 mm aperture and 150 mm focal length. Its f/5 focal ratio ensures fast and efficient imaging while providing an approximately 2.45° field of view. For daytime photography, the telescope offers an angle of view equivalent to that of a 1000 mm telephoto lens.
Thanks to its nearly 50° field of view, the wide-angle camera, which can be used independently of the main camera, is ideal for capturing impressive Milky Way and panoramic images.
Sony sensor with Full HD resolution
The DWARF Mini smart telescope incorporates a highly sensitive, low-noise Sony IMX662 CMOS sensor with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a pixel size of 2.9 µm. This makes it possible to capture details in deep-sky objects, as well as photograph sunspots and larger lunar craters. The telescope supports exposure times of up to 90 seconds, enabling the capture of fainter deep-sky objects, especially when used in equatorial mode.
The device also supports astrophotography with several built-in filters. These include a basic UV/IR-blocking filter and a dual-band deep-sky filter that transmits H-alpha and OIII wavelengths. The latter effectively enhances nebular contrast, particularly in light-polluted urban environments or even during a full Moon.
The wide-angle camera sensor also has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.
Remote control via Wi‑Fi
The DWARF Mini 30/150 smart telescope can be controlled via Wi‑Fi from up to 15 metres away, and downloading images is equally straightforward.
Through the USB-C port on the device, you can access the 64 GB internal memory and charge the built-in 7,000 mAh battery, which powers the smart telescope for approximately 4 hours.
Stunning images with the user-friendly app
The telescope's Stellar Studio app for Android and iOS supports more advanced astrophotography requirements with a wide range of functions. The built-in image processing tools make it easy to significantly improve the quality of captured images almost instantly. Those wishing to get the most out of the telescope can also download RAW images and process them on a computer using familiar image-processing software such as Siril, PixInsight or Photoshop.
The telescope supports equatorial mode, allowing even higher-quality images to be captured, while mosaic imaging makes it possible to photograph a larger area of the sky.

Who do we recommend the DWARF Mini for?
The DWARF Mini is a truly versatile smart telescope: it is suitable for entry-level deep-sky imaging, while also serving as a wide-angle telephoto lens for nighttime or daytime panoramic photography.
As the telescope does not feature a dedicated eyepiece, it is not suitable for visual observation. It is also not recommended for users looking specifically for a device optimised for solar, lunar and planetary imaging.
Thanks to its app available for Android and iOS, it is extremely easy and user-friendly to operate. Its compact dimensions and exceptionally low weight make it easy to transport.
