The DWARF Draco 90/340 smart telescope is a compact, mobile robotic telescope that can be remotely controlled in virtually every respect and is optimized for deep-sky imaging. Its 90 mm aperture, 12-megapixel resolution, cooled and rotatable sensor, and built-in autoguiding are features previously unavailable in this category.
The Draco's automated functions greatly simplify the first steps of astrophotography while also offering manual adjustment options for advanced users.
Two cameras in a single telescope
The telescope features a main optical system with a 90 mm aperture and 340 mm focal length. Its fast f/3.8 focal ratio enables quick and efficient imaging while providing an impressive field of view of approximately 2°. When used for daytime photography, the telescope is equivalent to a telephoto lens with a focal length of approximately 1200 mm.
Thanks to its nearly 86° field of view, the wide-angle camera can be used independently of the main camera to capture spectacular Milky Way and panoramic images.
Cooled sensor with 12-megapixel resolution
A cooled sensor ensures imaging with an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and captures 12-megapixel images in astrophotography mode. Sensor cooling and exposure times of up to 300 seconds enable the Draco to produce more serious deep-sky images than smaller smart telescopes. The heat generated by the sensor is used by the control system to prevent dew formation on the optics, so condensation during the night is not an issue.
The device supports astrophotography with several built-in filters. These include a basic UV/IR-cut filter and a dual-band deep-sky filter operating in the H-alpha and OIII wavelength ranges. The latter effectively enhances nebula contrast, especially under light-polluted urban skies or even in full moonlight. The essential ND5 solar filter for safe solar imaging is also part of the internal filter wheel.
Rotatable sensor and built-in autoguider camera
The capabilities of the DWARF Draco 90/340 smart telescope do not end here: its sensor can be rotated by motor, allowing the field of view to be oriented as desired. This is particularly useful in alt-azimuth mode, where it helps compensate for field rotation.
The built-in guide camera continuously monitors the stars and helps correct sky tracking. This reduces the risk of image blur during longer exposures without the need to install an external guide scope and separate autoguider. It minimizes the number of unsuccessful images, thereby improving astrophotography efficiency.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC
The DWARF Draco offers numerous connectivity options. Via Wi-Fi, the telescope can be remotely controlled and images can be downloaded from distances of up to 10 m. Using the manufacturer's app, the telescope can even be controlled remotely over the internet from the other side of the world.
The USB-C port on the device provides access not only to its 128 GB memory but also allows charging of the built-in 10,000 mAh battery, which can power the smart telescope for approximately 5 hours.
IP56 dust and water resistance helps protect the telescope's internal components from environmental exposure. The manufacturer specifies an operating temperature range of -20 °C to 45 °C. Weighing approximately 5.5 kg, the telescope is easy to carry with one hand. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the robust metal frame provides the best possible stability.
Using the small tripod included in the basic package, the telescope can be operated in alt-azimuth mode. An optional equatorial wedge enables equatorial mode, delivering even greater precision, especially when capturing long-exposure deep-sky images.
With the app operated on a smartphone or tablet, all telescope functions are available: you can observe the Sun and Moon in live view, while the device can also automatically process deep-sky images, including in near real time.

Who is the DWARF Draco recommended for?
The DWARF Draco is a truly versatile smart telescope: it is suitable for capturing more advanced deep-sky images, but can also be used as a wide-angle telephoto lens for nighttime or daytime panoramas. Thanks to the smartphone app, it is extremely easy and user-friendly to operate—almost child's play. Its compact size and low weight make it easy to transport.
As the telescope does not feature a dedicated eyepiece, it is not suitable for visual observation. We also do not recommend it for those specifically seeking a device optimized for solar, lunar, and planetary imaging.
