The DWARF 3 35/150 smart telescope is an exceptionally compact device. Weighing just 1,350 grams, it is nevertheless an excellent entry point into astrophotography: it can be set up in minutes with just a few taps via a mobile phone or tablet display, allowing you to start capturing the night sky straight away. Beyond astrophotography, it is also well suited for nature photography, birdwatching, and panoramic imaging.
The smart telescope's automated functions greatly simplify the first steps of astrophotography: it can virtually find the selected object on its own, focus, and then begin collecting light. It also offers manual adjustment options for advanced users, so you will not outgrow its capabilities after just a few nights.
Two cameras in one telescope
The telescope features a main optical system with a 35 mm aperture and 150 mm focal length. Its f/4.3 focal ratio ensures fast, efficient imaging while providing an approximately 3.45° field of view. For daytime photography, the telescope offers an angle of view equivalent to that of a 737 mm telephoto lens.
The wide-angle camera can be used independently of the main camera and, with its nearly 50° field of view, is ideal for capturing spectacular Milky Way images and panoramas.
Sony sensor with 4K resolution
The DWARF 3 smart telescope incorporates a highly sensitive, low-noise Sony IMX678 CMOS sensor with a 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution and 2 µm pixel size. This makes it possible to capture details in deep-sky objects, as well as sunspots and larger lunar features and craters. The telescope supports exposures of up to 60 seconds, enabling the imaging of fainter deep-sky objects, particularly when used in equatorial mode.
The device also supports astrophotography with several built-in filters. These include a standard UV/IR-cut filter and a dual-band deep-sky filter transmitting H-alpha and OIII wavelengths. The latter effectively enhances nebular contrast, especially in light-polluted urban environments or even during a full Moon. A magnetic external solar filter for safe solar imaging is included as standard.
The wide-angle camera sensor also offers a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.
Remote control via Wi‑Fi
The DWARF 3 35/150 smart telescope can be controlled via Wi‑Fi from up to 20 metres away, and downloading captured images is equally simple.
The USB-C port provides access to the 128 GB internal memory and can also be used to charge the built-in 10,000 mAh battery, which powers the smart telescope for approximately 4 hours.
User-friendly app for stunning images
The Stellar Studio app for Android and iOS supports even more demanding astrophotography needs with a wide range of functions. Its built-in image processing tools make it easy to significantly improve image quality almost instantly. Those wishing to get the most out of the telescope can also download RAW images and process them on a computer using their preferred image-processing software, such as Siril, PixInsight, or Photoshop.
The telescope supports equatorial mode, enabling even higher-quality images and the capture of larger areas of the sky through mosaic imaging.
AI-assisted birdwatching and panoramic photography
The DWARF 3 can also be used during the day to observe and photograph birds and other distant animals. The wide-angle camera helps locate the desired subject, after which you can switch to the 150 mm telephoto lens to capture more detailed images of distant birds. Autofocus and AI-based target tracking make it easier to follow and photograph moving birds.
The telescope's software also assists with creating ultra-high-resolution daytime panoramas. Once the area to be photographed has been selected, its ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses automatically scan the area and take images that can later be stitched together into an exceptionally detailed panorama.

Who is the DWARF 3 recommended for?
The DWARF 3 is a truly versatile smart telescope: it is suitable for entry-level deep-sky imaging while also serving as a wide-angle telephoto lens for nighttime or daytime panoramic photography. It is suitable for observing and photographing birds and other distant animals: the wide-angle camera helps locate the subject, while the 150 mm telephoto lens enables more detailed images, and automatic target tracking makes following moving birds easier.
As the telescope does not have a dedicated eyepiece, it is not suitable for visual observation. It is also not recommended for users looking for a device specifically optimised for solar, lunar, and planetary imaging.
Thanks to the mobile app, it is extremely easy and user-friendly to operate. Its compact size and low weight make it easy to transport.
