When making deep sky recordings, the guidance of the mount is almost indispensable. One possible way to do this is to use a guide telescope. Since most telescopes already have a finder scope, the obvious solution is to use it for guiding!
Our finder guide adapter can be screwed onto the end of a SkyWatcher 9x50 finder scope in place of the original eyepiece. Thanks to its 1.25" focuser, the finder can still be used with any "ordinary" eyepiece. By replacing the eyepiece with any camera, the finder scope continues to function as a 180 mm focal length guide.
By default, the adapter can only be used with eyepiece format cameras. By screwing the 2x T2-end barlow lens element into a T2/1.25" adapter, you can also get focus with T2-end cameras. Thanks to its elongated design, the product provides a more stable mount than competing versions!
The adapter can be mounted on the end of both "straight" and Amici prismatic viewfinder tubes, but due to the different tube lengths, an extension piece or Barlow lens may be required. This solution is recommended for a maximum of about 1000-1200 mm telescope guide.
The material and colour of the mounting screw may differ from the one shown in the picture!
