The Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max Magnet USB rechargeable pocket and headlamp is a great example of how there is always room for an even better, more powerful light. The manufacturer saw it the same way and created the latest redesigned version of its flagship Wizard C2 Pro series. This is another truly multifunctional light with impressive performance, ideal for field work, hiking, fishing, hunting and more. Thanks to the headband included in the basic package and the easily removable belt clip, the light can be attached to numerous points on the body. Its flat base allows it to be placed on horizontal surfaces, while its magnetic base lets it attach to steel surfaces, keeping both hands free.
The significantly larger 4000-lumen Cree XP70.2 LED delivers maximum output, illuminating the surroundings up to 114 m away. While this may not seem particularly impressive compared to the previous model, maximizing beam distance was not the sole objective with this light. Its 10 operating modes allow the output to be adjusted using the single switch located on the side of the light. A strobe function for self-defence is also available. Looking at the light's optics, it becomes clear why such a massive 4000-lumen output is needed: its latest-generation TIR optics can provide a relatively wide 110° spot beam while its expansive 150° flood beam keeps the wider surroundings visible without any distracting “tunnel vision” effect. The light is powered by one included 5000 mAh 21700 Li-ion battery, but it can also operate with an 18650 battery using the included adapter; however, the lower-capacity battery may reduce the light's performance. The battery is charged using the included magnetic charging dock with a standard USB connector, which is twice as fast as previous Wizard models thanks to the redesigned electronics.
Its robust construction and thoughtful design make the light exceptionally durable: according to the manufacturer, it can withstand drops from heights of up to 10 metres. The highest IP68 dust and water protection rating ensures that the light can withstand submersion to depths of up to 10 m for as long as 2 hours without damage.
The outstanding ergonomics of the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max Magnet USB headlamp are ensured by its two-piece headband, made from non-slip material that stays securely in place even during sports activities. The multicolour status indicator clearly displays the charge level and also warns of overheating.
The specified data apply to the cool white version; the warm white version offers slightly lower performance.
