Acuter NatureClose 80 ED spotting scope (45°)

The use of spectral arcs begins where binoculars end. The 80mm front lens Acuter NatureClose 80 ED is the middleweight champion of the range. It's recommended for those who still value good portability but insist on low-light observation.

With its zoom eyepiece, magnifications from 20x to 60x can be achieved, with the magnification being infinitely variable by rotating the eyepiece's adjustment ring. The power and efficiency of the medium diameter optics is most apparent in low light and poor viewing conditions. With the 8cm front lens, the Acuter NatureClose 80 ED Spectra can easily pick out distant targets in twilight and overcast conditions, and observe fine details such as the colourful plumage of a bird.

The prisms of the Acuter NatureClose 80 ED Spectra are made from BAK4 glass, the same glass used in high-end binoculars. For even brighter and more brilliant imaging, the instrument features a multi-layered (FMC) contrast enhancement coating system on all surfaces and, unlike acromatic spectra, the Acuter NatureClose 80 features an ED lens to eliminate color aberration at both edges of the spectrum. This makes the image produced by the spectral arc even more contrasty, outstandingly beautiful and bright, and makes small differences in shade more discernible.

Of course, the Acuter NatureClose 80 ED Spectra also comes with a carrying case that zips open at both ends. This sturdy plastic bag protects the scope during transport and from the elements. It is designed so that you can attach your telescope to a tripod even when it is left in the carrying case. This is especially important when you want to use it for observation in the rain and to protect your instrument from water.

A Standard T2 thread is located under the rubber eyecup at the end of the eyepiece, which can be connected to a DSLR camera using a T2 ring.
