In terms of functionality, the Acuter 60 mm MC telescope model is a compact yet fully functional Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope, suitable for observing brighter celestial objects such as lunar craters, Saturn’s rings and the movement of Jupiter’s moons.
Part of the housing of this small telescope model can be easily removed, revealing the operating principle of this type of telescope. Its stable Dobsonian-style mount can be used on a table or attached to a standard photographic tripod.
As the manufacturer includes a 90° Amici prism with the Acuter 60 mm MC telescope model, the image seen through the telescope will be upright and correctly oriented from left to right.
The two included eyepieces provide magnifications of 37.5x and 75x, and higher magnification is not recommended. The telescope also comes with a smartphone adapter that can be attached to the eyepieces, allowing brighter objects to be captured.
