Our SM series of microscopes are used in a wide range of applications, including the repair of printed circuit boards.
The 1x front lens does not change the magnification of the microscope or the object distance, it simply protects the objectives from rising vapours during soldering, for example, and from dust that can be contained in abrasive particles during grinding.
